The association was founded by the parents of Darío, a boy from La Pola de Gordón, León, who was diagnosed with FOP. Since its creation, 'Por dos Pulgares de Nada' has organized various initiatives to raise funds and raise awareness about this disease. Among them, a notable initiative is the sale of a solidarity Christmas basket valued at more than 2,500 euros, with all proceeds going directly to FOP research.

Thanks to these activities and community support, the association has managed to raise over 100,000 euros for FOP research, bringing hope to Darío and others affected by this disease.

The support of professionals significantly contributes to raising visibility and awareness about FOP, driving efforts to find effective treatments and improve the quality of life of those who suffer from it.
