Clients like them mainly because they are cheaper. Maybe also because they can easily be done all sharply in focus with normal colours and such like artless concepts.

For clients the question really is not is digital "better" it's are you prepared to pay for genuine analog film photography that has been hand developed by the photographer in the darkroom to produce contact sheets to select negatives to hand print in the darkroom, which in the case of colour neatives and colour prints takes quite a lot of skill that has to be learned and practised and is always very time consuming?
